Dr. Prasad is Director, R&D at Ahammune. Prior to joining the Company, he served as the Director of R&D at Vyome Biosciences, a Delhi based innovation driven company focusing on Dermatology research. He has more than 2 decades of research experience in academia as well as pharmaceutical industry. He has also been the General Manager of Biopharmaceutical Research of Panacea Biotec, New Delhi. He has served as the Joint Director; New Drug Discovery Research at Dabur Research Foundation, with focus in the area of development of peptide based new drugs for cancer, diabetes other metabolic disorders. He has 15 US patents and more than 40 patents in the rest of the world to his credit and over 30 research publications in reputed international journals. Dr. Prasad obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Banaras Hindu University in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He also worked as postdoctoral fellow at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Research Scientist at International Centre for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, New Delhi.
Dr. Verma works as an Assistant Director-Biology at Ahammune. He has 8 years of experience in the field of drug discovery and successfully led multiple drug discovery programs across various therapeutic areas in companies like Connexios Life Sciences and Adivinus Therapeutics in Bangalore. These programs are out-licensed to big pharma and ready for human clinical trials. He found and validated novel targets for T2DM, NASH and liver fibrosis and initiated the full-fledged discovery programs on these targets. He has worked on various targets including GPCRs, nuclear receptors, enzymes and kinases. He has published 10 original research articles in international journals and filed many patents.
Dr. K. Kashinath has completed his Ph.D. from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, under the guidance of Dr. D. Srinivasa Reddy in 2016 and joined Ahammune Biosciences. Prior to joining the doctorate program, he worked as an associate research scientist in Advinus Therapeutics, Pune for 18 months. Kashinath is an author of 10 publications and is a reviewer for Elsevier publications on Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Letters. He is a recipient of Best Research Scholar- Keerthi Sangoram Memorial Endowment Award -2014.
